Job Title: Executive Director of The Whiting & The Capitol Theatre

Organization: The Whiting & The Capitol Theatre        
Reports To: FCCC Board Chair and Whiting/Capitol Council Chair           
FLSA Status: Exempt

Job Description: 

The Executive Director provides visionary leadership for Genesee County’s premiere performing arts facilities – The Whiting and The Capitol Theatre and serves as their primary administrator and spokesperson.

The general responsibilities are:

1) Providing programming vision for The Whiting Presents season and the Capitol Theatre shows, developing the season, negotiating with and booking talent, overseeing outreach and education components, and overseeing rentals;

2) Consulting on and assisting in production of special events and other activities which feature performing artists;

3) Providing oversight for marketing, production needs and front of house services for The Whiting and The Capitol;

4) Hiring and developing personnel;

5) Developing fundraising and grant strategies;

6) Providing a strong community presence and building partnerships with entities both locally and statewide.

Job Title: Play Area Attendant

Location: Sloan Museum at Courtland      
Reports To: Guest Services Manager          
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

This is a part time weekend position. Must be available for a flexible schedule that may include evenings.

Job Description: 

Under the supervision of the Guest Services Manager and in conjunction with the Education Team, this position assists with the children’s play area, maintaining the area and interacting with children and adults to provide an enjoyable experience for those utilizing the space.

Job Title: Systems Analyst

Location: Corporate Services 
Department: Information Systems 
Reports To: Director of Information Systems
FLSA Status: FT – Exempt 40hrs per week (some weekend/after hours work as needed) 

Job Description: 

The Systems Analyst will be responsible for maintaining network/server hardware of campus wide area network. A significant portion of time will be devoted to ongoing review of business processes and developing solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Job Title: Part-Time Educator

Location: Longway Planetarium / Sloan Museum     
Reports To: Curator of Education and Outreach Programs     
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Job Description: The educator will conduct classroom and gallery programs for school groups, other organized groups and the general public both on-site and at off-site locations. Educators will handle setup, presentation, and clean-up for programs and keep the program curators informed on supply inventory. Individuals working in this position may assist program curators with the development and testing of new programs. This position requires a flexible schedule as programs may occur during morning and afternoons on weekdays along with some evening and weekend work.

Job Title: Part-Time Custodian  

Location: Flint Cultural Center Facilities 
Reports To: Custodial Supervisor 
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Note: Shift: Varies; Weekends and nights & Hourly rate varies based on experience

Job Description: Under the direction of the Lead Custodian, the Part-Time custodian will be responsible for the day to day housekeeping of the buildings, heavy cleaning when needed, meetings, special events and classroom setups.
