Job Title: Collections Cataloging Assistant

Location: Sloan Museum / Buick Gallery and Research Center
Reports To: Exhibit Manager 
FLSA Status: Non – Exempt

Job Description: 

This position will provide art handling, cataloging, inventory, digital imaging/scanning, moving and packing support for artifacts being included in the Sloan Museum’s new exhibit galleries. The Collections Cataloging Assistant may be asked to coordinate with staff or volunteers from other departments and may be assigned other duties as necessary. This is a part-time position, starting out at 8 hours per week with anticipation for hours to increase to 16 per week.

Job Title: Bartender

Location: The Whiting/The Capitol
Reports To: Director of Development and Front of House Operations
FLSA Status: Non – Exempt
Schedule: As Needed Basis

Job Description: 

Under the supervision of the Front of House Manager, bartenders are scheduled to work part-time at both The Whiting and Capitol Theatre. As a professional bartender in an arts venue, this job entails mixing drinks, selling concessions, handling cash, operating the point of sale system, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to work both nights and weekends.

Job Description: 

As a member of the Whiting/Capitol Front of House staff, each employee may be responsible and trained to perform duties for one or all of the following positions including ticket taker, guest seating, operating elevators, floor captain, coat check and pre-order pickup. All positions require great customer service and communication skills.
There will be an usher stationed on each floor at the door closest to the rear of the auditorium/theatre on each side of the house on the inside. Positioning may vary.

Job Title: Artist Services Coordinator and Administrative Assistant

Reports To:Managing Director of The Whiting/Capitol Theatre
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Full-time)

Job Description: 

The Artist Services Coordinator and Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the organization. This will range from answering phones, taking meeting minutes, acting as a liaison between the Managing Director and community members, and providing artist services to incoming performances at both The Whiting and Capitol Theatre.

Job Title: Part-Time Custodian  

Location: Flint Cultural Center Facilities 
Reports To: Custodial Supervisor 
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

*Shift: Varies; may include days, evenings, nights and/or weekends
**Hourly rate starts at $10.50

Job Description: Under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor, the Part-time Custodian will be responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping of the buildings, heavy cleaning when needed, meetings, special events, and classroom setups.
