Job Title: Guest Services Keyholder

Location: Sloan Museum, Longway Planetarium, Courtland Center      
Reports To: Guest Services Manager      
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - *Part-Time Position

Job Description: The Guest Services Keyholder serves as an assistant to the Guest Services Manager. This position oversees the operation of facilities during the absence of the Guest Services Manager and is responsible for opening and closing the facilities. The Keyholder is responsible for cashing out sales at the end of the day and in completing daily reports accurately. The Keyholder is responsible for making sure that the visitor receives the highest quality of service possible. This position is part time and works primarily weekends.

Job Title: Part-Time Educator

Location: Longway Planetarium / Sloan Museum     
Reports To: Curator of Education and Outreach Programs     
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Job Description: The educator will conduct classroom and gallery programs for school groups, other organized groups and the general public both on-site and at off-site locations. Educators will handle setup, presentation, and clean-up for programs and keep the program curators informed on supply inventory. Individuals working in this position may assist program curators with the development and testing of new programs. This position requires a flexible schedule as programs may occur during morning and afternoons on weekdays along with some evening and weekend work.

Job Title: Planetarium Presenter

Location: Longway Planetarium    
Reports To: Planetarium Manager    
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Job Description: The part-time Planetarium Presenter is responsible for setting up the planetarium prior to a show, running and presenting all shows that Longway Planetarium has to offer as well as shutting the system down at the end of the day. This position averages 10-15 hours per week and applicants must be available for evening and weekend hours.

Job Title: Usher

Location: The Whiting   
Reports To: Front House Manager   
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Job Description: As a member of the Guest Services Department, each employee may be responsible and trained to perform duties for one or all of the following positions including Floor Captain and Concessions/Ticket Takers. All positions require great customer service and communication skills. Employees must be able to lift 40 lb. boxes, navigate stairs in low-light situations, and be comfortable with heights and cash handling.

Job Title: Ticket Center Representative   

Location: The Whiting   
Reports To: Ticket Center Supervisor   
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Note: This is a part time position. Mostly working weekends and evenings--as needed—approximately 10 to 20 hours a week.

Job Description: Accurately sell tickets to customers at the ticket window, process mail and fax orders and answer telephone inquiries in a team environment.

Job Title: Part-Time Custodian  

Location: Flint Cultural Center Facilities 
Reports To: Custodial Supervisor 
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Note: Shift: Varies; Weekends and nights & Hourly rate varies based on experience

Job Description: Under the direction of the Lead Custodian, the Part-Time custodian will be responsible for the day to day housekeeping of the buildings, heavy cleaning when needed, meetings, special events and classroom setups.
