Marsha Barber Clark, Interim President / CEOMarsha Barber Clark is a speaker, writer, and consultant living in Northern Michigan with her husband. Ms. Clark serves as a Management Consultant with the NorthSky Nonprofit Network in Traverse City, MI, where she consults with nonprofit agencies on business management, board development, volunteer management, and fund development. She also served as the Co-Director of the National Writers' Series in Traverse City.

From 1986 through 2008, Ms. Clark served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of Crooked Tree, Traverse City, which encompassed eleven counties. Her responsibilities included executive transition; facility, property and financial management; and strategic planning, among other things.

Ms. Clark consulted through the Marsha Barber Clark Consultant Services from 1983 to 1986. She provided nonprofit management consulting as well as conducted workshops and seminars in areas of board development, conflict resolution, customer service, interpersonal communication, and strategic planning.

Prior to that, Ms. Clark was the Executive Director of Casa Maria Family Center for four years. She was responsible for all management aspects of a youth development/family center in inner-city Detroit.

Marsha actively participates in community service. She serves on various Human Services Coordinating Councils and is a member of the National Council on Family Relations. She has served on the State Advisory Board of the Office of Criminal Justice, Juvenile Justice, as well as the School of Social Work Advisory Board for Madonna College. Clark was also a United Way volunteer for over 15 years.

Ms. Clark is the author of Ponder Picture Prosper: A Proven Method for Getting What You Want in Life, Love, and Work. The book is a management tool that encourages individuals to establish goals for their personal and professional lives.

She loves to travel with her husband, and two sons, who are both Ph.D. candidates. Marsha has a passion for museums, having visited museums on six continents and in half of the states in the United States. When not traveling or planning a trip, Marsha is writing, gardening, or cooking a new recipe.

Marsha attended Central Michigan University and has a Bachelor's degree in Education, a Master's degree with a concentration in Marriage and Family Studies, and a Master's degree in Educational Administration. For Press Release Information, click here.
